Turkish Youth Council GoFor admitted as a full member of the European Youth Forum

The independent youth organisation GoFor was admitted as a full member at the General Assembly of the European Youth Forum (YFJ), held in Tromsø, Norway, from 7 to 9 May 2026.

Cooperation with the European Youth Forum began in 2013 with the aim of giving youth organisations from Turkey a stronger collective voice within the European youth movement. After several stages, the organisation became a candidate member in 2018 and was admitted as an observer member in 2019 with broad support. The decision on full membership at the 2026 General Assembly in Tromsø marks a new phase in this long-standing process of inclusion, representation and advocacy.

Full membership opens up new opportunities for the voice of young people from Turkey to be heard more visibly and effectively through joint efforts within the European youth movement.
